Overview of Events
Events are where planned groups for specific activities form. Maybe the leviathan raid or trials of the nine or maybe you just want to schedule a time to work on weekly milestones with a fireteam. Create an event to allow clanmates to reserve a spot on your team.
– Only clanmates with an active website profile can register for your events.
– You will be able to see a list of registered participants
Create an Event
Follow these steps to create your event.
***Unless you are an admin or event moderator, you will need approval before your event is published. Alert an admin or moderator to get your event approved quickly
Step One: Create a New Event
1- Go to your “My Events” page via the dropdown menu for members
2- Select the “My Events” tab
–This will display a list of events you are hosting and filters for easy navigation
3- Select the “Add New” button to create a new event
Step Two: Fill in the Details
*** We are aware of a current bug where the dropdowns are unusable. For now, please type dates in MM/DD/YYYY format and times in HH:MM AM format while we fix the issue
1 – Enter the Event Name
–Name it something easy to identify
–ex. ARareOddity’s Leviathan Group
2 – Enter the When info
— use only the first date. Do not enter a date range
— select the time range you will be hosting Times are Eastern (USA) Time
3 – Enter any details you would like to include
— Do members need to have a mic?
— Is there a certain strategy you will use?
4 – Choose the category for your event
5 – Upload an event image if you want one
— Max file size is 200MB
— Max resolution is 700×700
6- Check the “Enable registration for this event” box to open the tickets creation menu
Step Three: Create Spots
Tickets will be spots that members can register for.
1 – Edit the Standard Ticket
2 – Name it something like “Starter position” or “guaranteed spot”
3 – Leave the price zero
4 – Enter the number of spaces available (include yourself. you should register for your own event)
5 – Ignore the least spaces field
6 – Enter “1” for the most spaces per booking
— Unless you want members to be able to bring a non-clan player with them
7 – Enter available from date/time to determine when registration opens
8 – Ignore available until field
9 – Check required if it is NOT a backup position
10 – Select “logged in users” under the available for field
— You can limit to certain roles, but it is not suggested
11 – Close ticket editor to see your changes
12 – You can leave total spaces blank, the ticket limits will override
13 – You can enter 1 for maximum spaces for booking or leave blank if you specified on all tickets
14 – Leave cut-off date blank to have it be at start of event or enter a date/time to keep registration open until
Step Four: Submit
Once you’ve reviewed your event, click the “Submit Event” button. Once a moderator approves your event it will be published on the site and will be listed in you “my events” tab.
You should now register for your own event to get yourself on the roster.
After your event is published, you should view it and share it with clanmates via the app to let them know registration is open.
Step Five: Host the Event
As event time approaches, members will register for your event.
You can view and manage registrations via the “My Event Bookings” tab
Once you are ready to start your event, invite the registered members 🙂
